As the Product Owner – Customer Web you will be responsible for developing a successful customer experience across the groups owned digital assets. You will require a strong understanding of the business’s known and future customers to be able to translate their needs and wants into best-in-class digital experience to drive advocacy and engagement.
Leading innovation for accommodation-based technology will be the motivation that drives the deliverables of this role. You will be responsible for facilitating user experience design and implementing/managing experience features on behalf of the business. The prioritisiation and delivery of these features will be founded in customer insight collated from a combination of analytical data, market research and trend analysis.
You will need to successfully collaborate with both internal business stakeholders and external suppliers. You will need to work with developers, designers, and other information technology professionals to form an effective user experience model. Strong leadership skills will be required to increase productivity and create quality user experiences, and also conduct assessments to verify usability, stability, and visual design.
You will be expected to deliver on both the future product backlog and ensure existing owned digital platforms are behaving as expected and are up to date and compliant. Work is expected to be delivered using an iterative and agile approach. A proficient technical understanding of the business systems architecture will be required to make informed commercial business decisions. There will be a requirement to define the delivery and reporting framework as well as self-management of KPI’s for both oneself and the broader team to ensure business expectations are met including metrics such as revenue, performance, retention and customer satisfaction.

To be successful in the role you will be passionate about digital and customer experience with a strong will to stay in touch with latest trends and act as an advocate. You will have commercial experience in UX and UI, digital content management and site optimisation techniques from both a strategic and operational level. You will have strong theoretical knowledge of web design and SEO best practices. You will have proven experience of using data to drive your decision making, create plans and affect change.
You will be innovative with a track record for challenging the status quo combined with being resourceful and proactive. A creative thinker with a solution driven mind-set. You will be strategic with experience in implementing and analysing A/B or multi-variant testing.
You will consider your communication skills, both written and verbal, one of your strengths and pride yourself on your stakeholder engagement skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced and outcome focused environment and have a can-do attitude.
